»Blue King Brown is my favourite band right now. They embody everything I love in music from Ozomatli, African bands, Tower of Power to Santana. They are the voice of the street and the band of the future!« Carlos Santana

Blue King Brown is an 8-piece live urban roots crew, led by the multi-talented and relentless energy of Natalie Pa’apa’a. Calling Melbourne, Australia, home, the band was started in 2004. BKB are heavily influenced by afro-beat, reggae-slink and Latin beats, and the lyrics are often directed towards human rights, equality and political concerns. What started out as a percussion duo busking on the sidewalks of Byron Bay, Australia, is getting big by now. BKB are rockin’ national and international festivals and venues with a fresh inspired energy. They have been travelling worldwide from Melbourne to Kingston Jamaica, New York to San Francisco & Aoteoroa New Zealand, working with the likes of Sly and Robbie or Jah Mason. Supporting the legendary SANTANA in Australia / NZ, the tour was a massive success and a career highlight for Blue King Brown. The band’s live performance is an amazing show which leave the audience sweaty and breathless. Natalie Pa’apa’a got the crowd into a frenzied riot of pleasure and dancing. The music is energetic, passionate, varied and BKB are simply one of the best groups to come out of Australia.
